Meet Lindsey Ebaugh
Veterinary Extern June 2026-July 2026
Conley & Koontz Equine Hospital is pleased to host Lindsey Ebaugh, a fourth-year veterinary student at Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine, for a clinical externship from June 2026 through July 2026.
Originally from Middlesboro, Kentucky, Lindsey has known from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Through years of involvement in 4-H and early shadowing opportunities, her passion for veterinary medicine continued to grow and confirmed that equine practice was the career she wanted to pursue.
Lindsey first became familiar with Conley & Koontz after hearing about the hospital while growing up in northwest Ohio. She completed a summer externship here in 2024 to gain additional equine experience, and enjoyed the environment so much that she chose to return for this clinical rotation as part of her veterinary school requirements. During her externship, she hopes to continue expanding her knowledge of sports medicine, internal medicine, emergency care, and equine surgery.
One of Lindsey's favorite parts of her rotation has been working alongside the Conley & Koontz team while building her clinical skills. She especially enjoys emergency cases, which have provided valuable hands-on learning experiences during her time at the hospital.
Lindsey's primary areas of interest are lameness evaluations and sports medicine. She loves helping equine athletes return to work and values the opportunity to support the unique partnership between horses and their owners.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Lindsey enjoys reading, crocheting, kayaking, hiking, traveling, camping, and caring for her many houseplants. Although she grew up with horses, today she shares her home with an impressive collection of animals, including three dogs, two rats, two ball pythons, a boa constrictor, a corn snake, a crested gecko, and a flying gecko.
