Associate Veterinarian
Hi, I’m Dr. Bayley Stohlman and I am an Associate Veterinarian at Conley & Koontz Equine Hospital. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Purdue University and remained there to complete my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2026. While at Purdue’s College of Veterinary Medicine, I’m proud to have received the Society for Theriogenology’s Student Proficiency in Theriogenology award for outstanding abilities in advanced reproduction.
Following graduation, I moved back to my hometown and joined the team at Conley & Koontz and Stohlman Stock Solutions in June 2026. I’m excited to be surrounded by such a talented group of veterinary professionals and am honored to serve the equine and livestock patients of my community.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
When not at work, I like to stay active outdoors – whether at a cattle show with my husband or spending time on the lake with family. I also love baking and trying new recipes while winding down for the evening, both for the hobby and as an excuse to eat chocolate. If I’m not chasing our labrador retriever, Minnie, out of the kitchen, she enjoys going to work as a part of the clinic’s welcoming committee and begging for treats alongside her best friends.
Favorite Part of My Job
The animal-human bond is an incredible relationship, and whatever purpose a patient serves to its owner, I love being a piece of the puzzle when it comes to maintaining that partnership. Helping clients create individualized goals and working together to accomplish them is one of the best parts of my job. Professionally, I’m most inspired by advanced equine reproduction, and hope to further the next generations of equine athletes and companions to come.
Why I Chose This Profession
Growing up raising livestock on my family’s farm, I’ve always been passionate about caring for animals. Over time, I’ve learned to love the challenge veterinary medicine brings, and the way there is always more to discover and experiences to grow from. I feel grateful to have pursued a career where I am able to witness people’s greatest successes and be there for them on their hardest days.
