We specialize in getting a live foal from your problem mare.
Surgical Services
Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital is the only private equine hospital in Indiana that employs a veterinarian certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Dr. Rothenbuhler specializes in every aspect of the surgical process. With the help of his support staff, we perform preoperative planning, anesthesia, surgical preparation, surgery, recovery, and postoperative convalescence. Our hospital offers various types of elective or emergency orthopedic and soft tissue surgical procedures.
Lameness/Sports Medicine
All of our veterinarians take pride in their ability to thoroughly and completely work towards a diagnosis for lameness and optimal performance. Most lameness can be diagnosed through ambulatory services. For the complicated and more difficult lameness, exams can be performed in the hospital where our veterinarians can work on them throughout the day. New technologies such as Shockwave therapy, Stem Cell, Platelet Rich Plasma, and IRAP, allow the horse to return to work sooner.
Conley and Koontz Equine Hospital employs many diagnostic aids when examining your horse. These include; Computed Radiography (CR), ultrasonography, and Endoscopy. With the use of CR, veterinarians, owners and trainers are allowed to see and receive high quality radiographs immediately. The use of ultrasonography allows us to evaluate areas of concern such as tendons, ligaments, and internal organs. Endoscopy is available both in the hospital and through ambulatory services. The endoscope is used to examine the upper airway and the respiratory tract.
